If the young man brags
Of cassavaed clothes,
Calm him down:
Tell him,
The cloth he wears
May be starched
But in the house
Of the old man are clothes
That have gone through
Tough times;
Tell him, these toughened clothes
Is what he cannot possess.
If he tries
Tell him,
Time will not let him
If he decieves time,
Pull his ears, say it, that
Alafia will look away.
If alafia forgives him,
Say to him,
The grey hair will
Not be covered in sand;
Tell him, wisdom has two folds.
