TIMES.... by Mide Benedict

Here, I hear the sound of a plane
Flying in the firmament of some darkened cold weather.
Bgooohhhhm.... It goes on and on.
I remember then I would shout into the naked and unseeable element.

Raising my voice, I would produce
Broken words in childish tone:
helooophlane! Helooophlane!
As if my voice could mix with the air
And tell them I revere.
Gone, were those days,
But such memory still remains.
